Departing from Mgarr ferry Terminal, the gateway to this paradise island, you will head up the scenic Belvedere overlooking the harbour and Gozo channel accompanied by views of our sister islands in the Maltese Archipelago, Malta and Comino.

This road brings you to Qala, one of the most beautiful villages in Gozo, also the location of one of the most sought after tours in the list. A glide around this beautiful village takes you from the main Pjazza to Ta’ Tocc farming area, renowned for the unparalleled views of the north Mediterranean Sea.

The next destination is Nadur, one of Gozo’s famous three hills and home to three of the most beautiful bays on the island, namely Dahlet Qorrot, San Blas and Ramla. Nadur is also the place to go to if you’re looking for an authentic traditional culinary experience in one of the iconic wood stove bakeries. Here there will be a stop for a mouth watering ‘ftira’ and some refreshing tea before heading to arguably the best hidden secret on the island – the cave overlooking Ramla bay. No words can describe the splendour of the view from here!

You will then continue down to Ramla l-Hamra bay – which literally translates to ‘red golden sand’. This is the largest bay on the island, spread with red sandy dunes and shallow crystalline waters.

By the way, congratulations are in order, for you have made your way across the whole length of the island!

After a short walk on the sand, you will hop back on your Segways and immediately head deep into the remote valley between the steep hills of Nadur and Xaghra, where you will stop to pick some wild prickly pears or pomegranates (in season). From the farmed orchards of this valley come most of the local fruits, such as plums, peaches, apples, oranges and lemons.

Slowly re-entering civilization, you then pass through the oldest village in Gozo, Xewkija. The huge ‘rotunda’ dome of its church is the biggest on the island and dominates the whole village. The silhouette of this dome with the sun dawning behind it towards the west will create a fantastic photo opportunity.

Upon commencing our way back to the harbour, we will pass through the outskirts overlooking the valley of Mgarr ix-xini, recently made famous for being the set of the Hollywood blockbuster ‘By the sea’ starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This area is also renowned for its rich historic sites including the ‘cart ruts’, dating back to the Roman Times and Fort Chambray, built by the Knights of St John.
