Sicily - Taormina & Mount Etna

Sicily is a beautiful region of Italy; separated from the mainland it boasts being the largest island in the Mediterranean. It is a popular day-trip destination from Malta because of its close proximity to the archipelago.

On this picturesque guided journey to the crater of Europe’s most active volcano, Mount Etna, you will travel through ancient villages and varied countryside whose fertile soil brings forth a multitude of produce. En-route you will spend some free time in the town of Taormina where you can buy lunch and enjoy the breath-taking panoramic views it has to offer. Before reaching Mount Etna you will be given an opportunity to buy a selection of Sicilian delicacies such as wine, almond sweets and honey (there is no obligation to buy). Once at our final destination you can witness first-hand the effects of the most recent volcanic eruptions from a height of 2000 metres. There are also many souvenirs here for you to purchase as a keepsake of your memorable day.
